Bob Haedt and his mother, Lavon, opened the original Great Garb in 1971. Great Garb quickly became one of the major players in the Salt Lake fashion scene, being one of the first to import such
well known European labels as Cacherel, Frank Olivier, and Le Painty. They were also the first to carry Calvin Klein, (when Calvin was not a household name.) Great Garb has used "the contemporary
shop" as part of its identity and that label still applies. Contemporary, in this instance, means "of the moment."
One trip to Great Garb and you will be a fan for life. Looking for the hottest outfit - it's here. Got to have beautiful jewelry or accessories for a special occasion - it's here too. Bob and his team are constantly searching the market for the latest trends and interpreting those trends for Salt Lake City. The key word in the process is editing. Great Garb does not
carry "complete lines." Often an entire collection is whittled down to one or two of the best pieces. Each piece is tried on and evaluated as to whether it can stand on its own. When the pieces come
together in the store, the customer will find an exclusive collection of clothing that is totally wearable and totally unique, since many of the lines are Great Garb’s alone. Great Garb is high on fashion but not high on attitude. Their friendly, helpful staff will gladly assist you, whether you are purchasing a T-shirt or an entire outfit. Visit their Salt Lake City store
and let their staff show you the mix of clothing and accessories that Great Garb is so well known for. Our website can only show you a few of the great things for sale at Great Garb. For the full experience
you will have to come in and visit the next time you are in Utah. |
